Start with the controls
Before first use, remove the battery insulating tab. Short press the ON/OFF button to switch on and point the sensor directly at the light source.
If a value stays on the display
The HOLD function locks the current reading. Short press the ON/OFF button again to release it and return to live readings.
If the meter switches off
The meter turns off after two minutes of inactivity. Long pressing the ON/OFF button also switches it off. To turn it on, use a short press.
Understand the charger lights
The included RSC-X2-3 charger uses a red light while charging and a green light when fully charged. The guide states three to four hours for a full charge.
The meter uses a rechargeable LIR2450 cell. Follow the illustrated instructions in the manual and align the positive pole with the positive mark on the charger.
Battery compartment reference
The curved groove on the back is the battery cover. Read the illustrated manual before opening the battery compartment or replacing the cell.
Keep the specifications in context
The charger specifications in the manual belong to the charger, including its USB Type-C port. The meter specifications and charger specifications are listed separately on the product page.
The manual also includes a Ferguson Zones reference table. That table is not a universal enclosure setting; species and care context matter when interpreting husbandry guidance.
